| Weavers Fields in Banglatown – one of London’s most vibrant quarters – will host an eclectic mix of overseas and UK based artists. This event is a unique opportunity to sample the best of Bengali inspired traditional and contemporary music and dance.
Headline artists from Bangladesh include the hugely popular singer Kumar Bishwajit, Close up 1 Champion Salma and finalist Ronti alongside eminent Folk singer Shahnaz Belly and the blazing Band Lalon.
UK favourites will include Himangshu Goswami, Rukhsana Safa, Amir Muhammed, Rubayyat Jahan, Kawsar Habib and the very popular Kaya.
The Mela Stage will be hosted by Paroshmoni and Ronnie Mirza, plus BBC Asian Network presenters Shawkat Hashmi and Sonia Deol.
