Ankhi Alamgir
Ankhi (pronounced Akhi) has learned classical music for ten years from well known Ustad(Master) Akhtar Sadmani. In 1984 as a child actress, she has received the Best Actress Award for her acting in the Movie “Bhat Dey” however she chose to take a different path and profession. She never wanted to be a movie star. So, it was not a hard decision to make.

A familiar face on the cultural scene, Ankhi’s repertoire is versatile and sings popular Bengali songs from range of lyricists and composers. She sings regularly at the Radio, Television and on stage. She is always on tour for musical concerts. She has travelled to Canada, America, England, Australia, Pakistan, India and many other countries to perform.

Ankhi has released a number of albums, music video and sound track for films. Ankhi speaks, reads and writes many languages along with English, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. She also sings in all these languages. She is a versatile Urdu Gazal singer.
